well the weekend is back again.. well last weekend i thought i will decide on the MBA thing.. but jus lazed off watching match and idling hopelessly. This time am gona make a decision for sure.. w/o any confusion.. thn wat else.. hope to start off with the MicroSoft Secrets book.. n also dust the IMS material. Quite a few things i had always wanted to change myself also im hoping to begin them this week. Waking up at 6a.m. thats really been a long wish of mine almost for a year since i have come to blore... It makes a lot of difference to the way u r thru the day is wat my exp on those very few days i made it early tells me..
Well today another quiet lazy day.. not much diong.. Went thru tht Catalog Bug and gave a good small update on it well looks like i will hav to dig through on monday and get some progress on it. . thn wat sal has come.. the pay is pretty hefty bcoz of the bonus and arrears n stuff.. well now am really gona cut down really hard on my spending.. it is getting unbelievably high at this rate i will hav to dig into my savings to live... well tht nothing spl out today. Had a flip thru the BS Motoring Mag.. always like that one for it gave a good glimpse of my dream cars....( the realisation day looks really far... bcoz my liking for car is getting too expensive .) The Skoda Octavia relaunch is pretty cool..
Some Super Duper thoughts
----------------------------------

Lesson Number One:
---------------------------

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small
rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and
do nothing all day long?"

The crow answered: "Sure, why not."

So, the Rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All
of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be
sitting very, very high up.

Lesson Number Two:
--------------------------

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to
get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't
got the energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied
the bull.

"They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of
dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to
reach the first branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second
branch. Finally after a fortnight, there he was proudly perched
at the top of the tree. Soon, he was promptly spotted by a
farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it
won't keep you there.

Lesson Number Three:
-----------------------------

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold,
the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it
was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As
the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to
realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile
of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

The morals of this story are:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut

well i have to decide abt it.. duno as i read there in the India Today Conclave address as Mr.Anand Mahindra said "We Indians are averse to failing. We live in the comfort zone , hence dont take risks". This perfectly applies to me in this case. I have been thinking about this so long a time. i should hav decided by now which way to go. Am still meandering this way n that way. This doesnt help bcoz the focus and the energy is not on either side., and I knw i cant win any of those without solid footing and right prep asap. Im pretty sure abt giving a go at ISB.. but i seriously hav the complex of not having an engg. degree from IIT, i dont wana miss out on the IIM also. But many ppl would say this is foolish and stuff but then thatz how i see it. that is wat is pushing me hard to go for CAT.. again am averse to risking a relatively good n stable IT career.. where i ahv got good and sufficient perfs at both of my comps todate.. an am thinking about my confidence level and ability to compete n come out on top at IIM or ISB.. this confidence i wat i want and i knw i wil get it once i hav a degree from IIM.. bcoz thatz wat those top notch schools are good at. so basically it is a decision between Brand MBA and Reality MBA.. Hope i decide on wat i need pretty soon.. am going on n on analysing class composition, salary figures n stuff.. dono too much confusion.. lets c..
then came back for a team meeting . the talk was around the Global Team Model.. popped in with some questions and it went on well.. n back at my place.. oh man.. dint get the card for the Bday Man.. so off me n Sudeep went on Fiero to Landmark to get some cards.. But really their cards collection isnt tat grt enough.. picked up a Bday card and some Nutties pack and vrooomed bak to work(rather to office.. , bcoz abs no work i did today) then back to some browsing on google .. wow really it is a cool product. the brains at the product are really cool.. it needs a lot of creativity to develop such really fundooo features... thn wat am here n wow today is fool's day and i have resolved to blog forever till am there on the planet.. But this is serious i will keep it going.. ok then let me go.. am still divided whether to hav the monotonous North Meals at Balaji or wat else the dosa.. welll.. dono..
Well i think i will surely make this a daily feature around from now onwards. Yup, im a bit lazy but i jus wana knw wat am doing and where am heading , so i will be updating it daily to get myself accountable(sounds a bit too formal!!!!). alright today we went for a lunch to Bay Leaf the good old restaurant at Koramangala. Nice food.. probabaly after a sequence really mad experiences at places ( Magnolias!!) , being a veggie is really getting tough in India too.. It was as part of Vinod's Bday treat i guess so.... thn treated myself to some rotis, rice n Gulab Jamun, really yummy but tooo costly 50/- for a pair of jamun. well then really absolutely dint do much work at office..
